The National Weather Service is forecasting a mix of rain and snow Thursday evening into Friday.

Due to the high amounts of snow we have received this year, the possibility of flooding in flood-prone areas is believed to be high. If you have a history of flooding in your basement or on your property, please take proper precautions. The City of River Heights is currently working to secure a load of sand for the making of sand bags. If a load of sand is able to be secured, it will be available at Stewart Hill Park (northwest of the cemetery) once a shipment is received. We will inform the community via Text My Gov, Facebook, and our city website if and when sand is available. Please feel free to contact the city offices with questions.
